The Great Room
Captain's Walk
Tasting Room
The original room was quite
damaged; extensive
moulding, floor and ceiling
repair was needed to
rejuvenate its beauty.
A cellar viewing window
was added to the floor to
allow guests a viewing of
our water-bent French Oak
barrels.
The tasting bar was found
at Koepsel's Antiques in
Door County. It appears to
be the age and size of a
speakeasy bar from the
1920's.
The original fireplace was
converted to a gas log in the
1980's. We're still afraid to
light it up.
The room's lighting fixtures
are replicas of early 1900's
gas/electric lamps.
