We had to put these two photo's together with an explanation, so you didn't think that we all only own one nice set of dress clothes.



The premier of the new Discover Wisconsin episode on Greater Green Bay was played at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday, May 15, 2008. Captain's Walk was featured in a segment where Stephanie Klett blended Chardonnay with our winemaker, Aric, who was dressed up as Pirate at our 2008 Chardonnay Soiree. Though we were not in costume, we brought back our pirate faces. This top photo is of (from left to right) Shaun & Brad Schmiling (Co-Owners), Deb Polster (General Manager), Stephanie Klett (Discover Wisconsin), and Jamie & Aric Schmiling (Co-Owners). Present, but not seen, is Aric & Jamie's new baby to be in mid-October. That's right kid, your mama was a looker.







A few hours later, we received an award for our adaptive re-use of the Elisha Morrow home from the Brown County Historical Society at the Brown County Library. We appreciate the recognition of the thought, time and effort put into this renovation as we were very happy to bring this old home back to life as the Captain's Walk Winery!

The long-awaited Maiden Voyage will be departin' the stainless steel docks in June! A 750ml ship bottle holds a blush vinted from the Robaidek's Family Vineyard Marachel Foch grapes. The land-lubbers' vines arr in Sampson, WI.

Twill be bottled on-site in the Walk's cellars with an 8 spout filler and put out for a bounty of $29/bottle!
